Mononoke No Kuni Unveils Playable Demo at BitSummit 2026

Happinet Corporation and developer Lights-Interactive are gearing up to showcase their 3D action-adventure title, Mononoke No Kuni, with a fresh playable demo at BitSummit 2026. This demo will be accessible from May 22 through May 24 at both the Lights-Interactive and Happinet booths during BitSummit PUNCH, hosted at Miyako Messe in Kyoto, Japan.

The updated demo features the game’s prologue and first chapter, boasting a slew of improvements since its last public appearance at the Tokyo Game Show 2025. Among the new features are a free camera system, revamped environments, enhanced exploration mechanics, and progression systems. Players can also engage in mini-games alongside the protagonist’s Shiba Inu companion, Musashi.

Mononoke No Kuni revolves around Taiki and his faithful dog Musashi as they navigate a yokai-infested world inspired by Japanese folklore, all in a quest to revive Musashi following his demise. The gameplay includes parrying, exploration, mini-games, and interactions with various mononoke characters. Combat mechanics allow players to deflect attacks and projectiles while upgrading abilities and teaming up with Musashi for buffs and healing.

At release, the game will support over 20 languages, including English, Japanese, traditional and simplified Chinese, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, German, French, and Spanish.
