Alabaster Dawn Roadmap Unveils New Regions, Weapons, and Story Expansions
Radical Fish Games has unveiled a comprehensive development roadmap for Alabaster Dawn, following the game's Early Access launch earlier this month. Players can anticipate a series of approximately eight significant updates before the game reaches version 1.0. The roadmap is designed to alternate between gameplay-focused enhancements and substantial story expansions as development progresses.
Gameplay updates are set to introduce an array of new regions, enemies, dungeons, puzzles, bosses, and side content. Noteworthy milestones, particularly versions 0.5.0 and 0.8.0, will delve into the main storyline, adding fresh quests and cutscenes to enrich the narrative experience. The next major update, version 0.2.0, is slated for release in August 2026. This update will unveil a new swamp region named Scala Moor, located conveniently east of Sundalan.
In addition to the new locale, version 0.2.0 will introduce a spear-type weapon for the protagonist Juno, marking the debut of a melee weapon designed specifically for Pierce attacks. Players can also look forward to a new dungeon associated with the swamp region, featuring enhanced puzzle mechanics, various enemies, elemental abilities, and a challenging new boss encounter.
Beyond Scala Moor, developers plan to enrich existing areas like Sundalan and the Aurum Plains by adding missing quests and side activities while eliminating placeholder Unfinished Content signs scattered throughout the game. Future updates will also bring expanded weapon skill trees, the introduction of map markers, and a dojo system where players can safely practice combos and gauge damage output. Furthermore, the roguelite mode Somu’s Dream will continue to evolve with additional floors and enemy types.
Why it matters
As a tantalizing teaser, the studio hinted at an upcoming collaboration that will involve CrossCode, Alabaster Dawn, and an unannounced third project. For those eager to jump in, Alabaster Dawn is currently available on PC through Steam Early Access.
