April’s Mobile Game Downloads: Minecraft Surges to the Top

April saw a surprising shift in mobile game downloads, with Minecraft topping the charts thanks to a free Android-only trial that catapulted its downloads from 4-6 million to 25.5 million. This spike was notable not just in emerging markets but also in the US, India, Brazil, Mexico, and Indonesia. Block Blast and Free Fire slipped to second and third with 23.9 million and 22.8 million downloads respectively. Meanwhile, Roblox maintained its usual performance with 16.5 million downloads, while Miniclip's Arrows and Learnings' Arrows Go saw significant rises of 46 and 336 spots, respectively. Notably, Royal Kingdom surged 20 spots into the top ten with its best month yet at 12.1 million downloads.
