R-Type Dimensions III Physical Edition Delayed to August

ININ Games has pushed back the physical edition of R-Type Dimensions III to August 11, 2026, due to manufacturing and logistics challenges. The digital release date remains unchanged on May 19. Pre-order customers can request complimentary digital access keys for five days of early play. Additionally, the Collector’s Edition will now launch in Winter 2026 to accommodate enhanced production, including a collectible figure crafted by Wētā Workshop. The game itself revitalizes the original R-Type arcade experience with fully rebuilt content in stunning 3D visuals, while players can toggle between original and modern audio. Local co-op play features updated scoring and survival systems, and Advanced Mode is available from the start, along with control customizations and multiple 3D camera options. R-Type Dimensions III will be available on Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox, and PC via Steam.
