The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin Update Enhances Accessibility and Events
Netmarble has rolled out a significant update for its anime open-world RPG, The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin. This latest patch not only adds new content but also introduces accessibility features inspired by player feedback. A player from Japan reached out to the development team with a letter written in both braille and text, sharing their experience of the game through its voiced dialogue, music, and environmental sounds. They suggested incorporating additional sound-based guidance for exploration, prompting developers to create a dedicated sound accessibility option. This new feature enhances audio cues for critical situations, such as low HP warnings and the proximity of treasure chests. Furthermore, the team has plans for future updates that will include directional audio guidance for objectives, gathering points, subquests, and treasure chests.
The update also brings a new playable character, the [Enigmatic Helper] Clotho, who harnesses Wind and Cold attributes. Alongside this new character, players can dive into several limited-time events. From May 21 to June 4, the “Temple of Love” event dungeon will be available, offering a story-focused experience with sequential quests spread across seven days. Rewards for participating include limited-time titles, accessories, draw tickets, and various other items.
Why it matters
In addition to the event, players can engage in solo record-based challenges for dungeons, take on field bosses, and tackle Timespace Junction encounters. Cube Key missions will also reward players based on their cumulative usage. The update opens the Ranking Board Pre-Season for multiple activities while continuing with Timespace Junction Season I, which includes new progression and reward systems. The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin is available on PlayStation 5, PC via Steam, and mobile devices on iOS and Android.
