Key takeaways
- Version 3.7 launches September 30, 2026
- Main Quest Replay initially includes content from Versions 1.1–1.3
- Wuthering Waves is on PS5, Xbox, PC (Steam/Epic), and mobile
Wuthering Waves will release Version 3.7 — Prism’s Illusion, Heart’s Illumination — on September 30, 2026, Kuro Games confirmed. The update continues the main story with Chapter IV Act IV: Simulacrum of the Heart and adds the Tales Quest Moonlike Heart, Mortal Longing, alongside new content for the Mengzhou area.
Version 3.7 brings two new Resonators: Hsin and Suoming arrive via the Featured Resonator Convenes, and two new weapons, Blooming Jadehaven and Unspoken Rue, will be available at launch. The Echo roster expands with Formrender, Soulfrayer, Skywatch Lancer, Bloomburst Puppet, and Jade Nether Serpent; Phantom: Skywatch Lancer is specifically listed as obtainable. Three new Sonata Effects — Heart of Sworn Vigil, Flash of Electric Reflection, and Flower of Tinged Yearning — join the pool as well.
Players gain access to the Simulacrum Nexus of Mengzhou and a permanent Blooms for the Shadow event. Several events and web events are scheduled around the patch window: Cubie Wars, Gifts of Waking Moon, Echo Erase, Dreams in the Capsule, Past Dreams, Traced Seals, Artisan’s Search, and Beyond the Waves: Land of Xuanfang. Waking Moon Fishing and Back to Solaris are noted as web events, while Gifts of Singing Drizzle starts October 22 and awards Radiant Tide ×10 total plus additional login rewards.
Quality-of-life and systems changes are extensive. Main Quest Replay arrives through the Journey Log with initial replayable content from Version 1.1: Thaw of Eons, the Version 1.2 Moon-Chasing Festival section In the Turquoise Moonglow, and main quests from Version 1.3: To the Shore’s End; players can save and resume replay progress or manually reset it, and more chapters are planned for future releases. Echo inventory will auto-stack unequipped, non-upgraded Echoes that share Echo type, Sonata Effect, and Mainstat, with each backpack entry holding up to 999 Echoes; recommendation menus will also account for Resonators that have two Resonance Modes.
Photography and team management get a noticeable refresh. The Camera System adds Handheld and Selfie Modes with adjustable poses and expressions, Tripod Mode gets a freer drone perspective, and new controls include Reference Lines, Quick Focus, and Lens Templates. From the camera interface players can change time, weather, foliage wind direction, filters, and lighting. Team capacity increases to 20 saved setups with naming and reorder options, and a new 3D Team Setup Mode lets players toggle between 2D and 3D presentations (Kuro Games cautions 3D mode may not be supported on every device).
Kuro Games also announced limited testing for Tiered Client Resource Downloads across PC, iOS, and Android; eligible PC users will be able to choose UHD, HD, or SD resources while eligible mobile users can pick HD or SD. The preview introduced Solaris Starry Stage, a fan-creation program, plus Wuwa Tappo desktop pet software and new RIBOSE merchandise prototypes including Tea Break Moments chibi figures. Wuthering Waves is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox, PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, and on mobile devices.
Why it matters
Takeaway: if you want to rewatch early story chapters, manage a much larger Echo stash, or try the new handheld and selfie camera tools, Version 3.7 delivers those specific options on September 30, with tiered resource downloads and device-dependent 3D team previews arriving under a gradual rollout.
